Chemtech Plastics banks on CCE's EnSuite for accurate data translation
Multi-CAD support, export to SOLIDWORKS and ability to handle complex splines sets EnSuite apart from competition

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – (Nov. 02, 2018) - CCE, a leading provider of advanced CAD interoperability technology, has announced that Chemtech Plastics, a leader in precision injection molding and insert molding, has adopted it's flagship software, EnSuite, for reliable and accurate multi-CAD data translation.

Chemtech Plastics is an industry leader in the custom injection molding field, serving the automotive and medical markets. Chemtech’s core competencies include straight molding, insert/over-molding and multi-shot (2K, 3K) molding. In addition, they offer value-added services including pad printing, ultra-sonic welding, laser etching, and high-level automated assembly.

Chemtech Plastics adopted CCE’s EnSuite back in August. Since then, they have been using the software extensively for all their CAD data translation requirements.

“Here at Chemtech Plastics, Inc., we have found the EnSuite translation product to be a valuable tool in our business of working with different flavors of customer CAD data. EnSuite is our most reliable means of achieving clean and accurate data translations from the several different programs our customers use. The ability of EnSuite to handle complex spline trims on contoured faces is one attribute that really sets it apart from our other translation solutions. The option to export directly to our SOLIDWORKS file format is also especially helpful in retaining the integrity of the customer’s geometric design intent," said Brian J. Fransen, Chemtech’s Senior Engineer.

“Chemtech’s feedback is most gratifying. These kind words serve as great encouragement for the entire team here at CCE as we constantly strive to enhance EnSuite and ensure its place as the world’s premier CAD translation software,” added Debankan Chattopadhyay, CCE’s Manager of Business Development.

EnSuite is a standalone software used to view and translate 3D CAD data that provides quick access to critical engineering information residing in CAD files, no matter which CAD system was used. EnSuite can be utilized across the enterprise and eliminates the cost associated with expensive CAD license purchases for non-design activities. The software works with all major 3D CAD formats, including CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, CREO, Autodesk Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, ACIS, Parasolid, JT, CGR, STL, 3D PDF, IGES, and STEP.

CCE's EnSuite enhanced with tools for Competitive Benchmarking
Major updates announced for Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping tools in EnSuite

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – (Oct. 9, 2018) – CCE, a leading provider of advanced CAD interoperability technology, has announced the latest update of its flagship CAD viewer and translator software, EnSuite focused primarily on tools to help reverse engineering and rapid prototyping, which are key components of most competitive benchmarking projects.

    EnSuite

EnSuite has the ability to import point cloud data that is generated by most 3D scanning equipment used to digitize physical parts. Once imported, EnSuite’s enhanced Model Compare tool can be used to compare not only fully rendered CAD models, but also CAD model with point cloud data. The results can be viewed and compared visually to understand any possible differences between the scanned part and the control subject (original design). Besides visual verification and inspection, the results can also be exported to an Excel file.

Tools for computing surface area, bounding volume and 3D measurements for Point Cloud and STL files have also been enhanced.

"EnSuite's latest release focuses on our customer base that uses our software for reasons outside of just simple multi-CAD viewing or translation capabilities, which in itself are solid reasons. But for people who live and breathe in the world of reverse engineering, rapid prototyping and competitive benchmarking, the ability to ensure that a digital scan of a physical part matches with the CAD model within specified tolerances and being able to analyze and export that data for downstream applications is very critical,” said Debankan Chattopadhyay, CCE's Manager of Business Development.

All existing EnSuite customers have immediate access to this new update.

CCE’s Latest EnSuite update focuses on Automotive Industry
CAD viewers & translators support latest versions of CATIA V5 R28, PTC CREO 5.0, & Autodesk Inventor 2019

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – (Jul. 24, 2018) – CCE, a leading provider of advanced CAD interoperability technology, has announced the latest update of its flagship CAD viewer and translator software, EnSuite. Most new enhancements and functionalities introduced as part of this release are aimed squarely at facilitating seamless data exchange across the Automotive Supply Chain.

    EnSuite 2017

EnSuite’s latest update includes support for latest CAD versions including CATIA V5 R28, PTC Creo 5.0 and Autodesk Inventor 2019. This is in addition to support for other latest CAD formats like NX 12, SOLIDWORKS 2018, JT 10.2 and Parasolid 30 in updates earlier this year. “We are based in the Detroit area and naturally have a lot of customers in the Automotive industry. The need to constantly keep up with latest CAD updates is very critical as many Tier 1 & 2 suppliers as well as OEMs depend on our products to exchange data in their supply chain,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

The latest release of EnSuite 2018 also supports parallel processing in batch translation for quick transfer of bulk data. Users can also view thumbnail images for components displayed in the Bill Of Materials (BOM) list. This makes it very convenient to visually identify parts without having to open each part for viewing.

Among other enhancements, EnSuite now allows viewing of compressed STEP files (.stpz). It also allows display/assigning of material to configurations.

“Although most of these recent enhancements can be used by everyone, it will make life easy for most of our customers in the Automotive industry for sure, especially given the multi-CAD environment most companies in the supply chain operate in and the sheer volume of CAD data they deal with,” added Wagle.

All existing EnSuite customers have immediate access to this new update.
