CCE Ensuite Information

EnSuite is the anti-dote to the current multi-CAD woes and packs a huge number of commonly used tools in a state-of-the-art product. It combines the most commonly used visualization and CAD translation tools into a single application with access to a number of productivity applications that make working with multi-CAD data easy. Apart from the data translation and viewing capabilities, EnSuite provides critical engineering information at the click of

a button. It is a must-have tool for CAD designers, engineers, administrators and other users of CAD data in today's dynamic, heterogeneous multi-CAD environment. EnSuite is truly the “Multi-CAD Engineer's Assistant”.

With the open and flexible architecture based on the latest technologies, EnSuite is completely customizable to do only the tasks you perform everyday in your job, all with practically no learning curve. EnSuite’s simple web-centric licensing and automatic software updates makes software deployment, maintenance and management very simple.

A key feature of EnSuite is that it does not allow the user to Edit or Modify the CAD data. This is critical as modifying the master CAD model may alter the original design intent and lead to defective or unusable products, and potential contract disputes.

EnSuite provides seamless CAD data interoperability between all major CAD systems in use today. Files can be translated from and to most of the commonly used files formats without the CAD software or license shaving the cost of MCAD software ownership from the interoperability process. A number of kernel based and neutral file translators are also available.

Bid farewell to the days when you had to move design data across the supply chain without being able to view it. EnSuite has viewers for all commonly used CAD and image file formats. Even better, you do not need CAD software or licenses to view any of the given file types.

Viewers are currently available for:

CATIA V4
CATIA V5
Pro/ENGINEER
SolidWorks
Unigraphics
Parasolid
IGES
STEP

Apart from CAD and image files, EnSuite can also be used to view html files and text files.

All the viewers are equipped with standard features like rotate, pan, zoom (+/-), fit to screen etc. Simple measurement options are also available. An entity tree showing the geometric entities present in the part/assembly is also displayed as part of the viewer screen.

EnSuite provides a number of productivity apps that help retrieve critical engineering information at the click of a button. This is an ever-expandable list. Here are few key ones:

EnSuite comes equipped with Batch conversion options to allow seamless and hassle-free translation of bulk CAD data.

A bill of materials or "BOM" describes a product in terms of its assemblies, sub-assemblies, and basic parts and is an essential part of the design and manufacture of any product. BOMs are important, since without a basic knowledge of how many parts a product needs, there is no way of knowing how many units of that part you need to buy. EnSuite has a BOM tool that allows you to view the BOM of an assembly component. There is an option to display the Indented BOM which clearly shows the hierarchical information with the master, or top level, BOM describing a list of components and sub-assemblies.

These tools allow the user to retrieve information about the various geometric entities & features in the file. For example, wall thickness, fillet radius, hole radius & taper angle (if any), edge length, vertex co-ordinate, arc radius, distance between points etc. can be determined.

EnSuite allows the user to cut sections along different planes and verify section properties (area, volume, perimeter) of the part.

EnSuite provides tools for visual verification and comparison of part files. This is especially useful for Quality Control purposes and can be used as the first level inspection.

The typical utility of unparameterized 3D geometry data is in interference checking, form-fit function etc. EnSuite has a tool assists users in doing just that. The Bounding box tool can be used to display the bounding box of a part or assembly making visual inspection of interference and form-fit simpler.

EnSuite allows the user to isolate a part in an assembly in a way that all other parts/components are transparent. This can act as an extremely useful tool for visual inspection.

Features like fillets & holes can be searched in the file based on certain criteria. For example, you could use this tool to highlight all fillets that are below a pre-defined radius so that you have a better insight into the manufacturability of the part.

If you need any custom tool that is not in the above list, feel free to let us know. We will be happy to develop it for you. All you need to do is send in a mail to sales@cadcam-e.com with a brief description of your requirement and we’ll try our best to assist you.

EnSuite provides an intuitive common interface with seamless access to the most commonly used visualization and CAD translation tools as well as a number of utilities into a single application. EnSuite is truly a multi-CAD engineer’s dashboard to robust engineering tools, viewers and translators.

EnSuite allows you to specify delivery options for files. You can choose to zip and deliver the file via email or ftp making delivery of CAD data seamless

EnSuite comes with a “Search tool” to enable you to search for files of specific types on your computer or network. User can select the one or more categories of file types from 3D CAD, 2D CAD and images. If EnSuite viewers support the file listed in the search results, it can be directly be opened in EnSuite at the click of a mouse. Now that’s seamless!
