FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – (May 17, 2022) - CCE, a leading provider of advanced CAD
interoperability solutions, announced additional improvements to the “SmartPicking” tools in ReVue software to increase efficiency of users participating in engineering design reviews using large CAD assemblies.
From the initial introduction earlier in the year where users were given the ability to toggle
between multiple sub-assemblies when they pick a specific tool and see the results of the
operation in real time, to the more recent update where they can hide that component from the viewable area or open it for full-screen display, the goal has always been to provide a richer
experience for users, especially those working with large assemblies. In this latest update, users
can now interactively select a part or sub-assembly and not only move the component in
linear X,Y,Z directions along the axis, but also be able to pick planes to rotate the part
along the axes. All this can be done using minimal mouse travel and clicks.
“We are going all-in on making it easier for people to collaborate using large CAD assemblies.
A lot of our users deal with data from formats like CATIA V5 & NX. We are singularly focused
on making them more efficient,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s V.P. of Sales and Marketing.
