Every company uses some means of maintaining their product and design data. It can be as simple as XLS files and using Shared Network Folders or a PDM system. CCE has expertise in the complex process of PLM system migration. This could include non-standard data setup to PLM setup, migration from one PLM system to another or migration of data from ERP system to PDM/PLM system. This involves planning, rehearsal, conflict resolution, production migration and user training. As part of the migration plan, a thorough study of source and target systems is required. Before migration, unwanted data must be cleaned from source system, and the most meaningful data along with its application context identified to limit migration time.
