CCE ODX Libraries Updated to Read NX 8 Files
ODX/UG can read NX files from versions UG 13 through NX 8.
Farmington Hills, Michigan
– Jan 25, 2012 – CCE, a leading provider of advanced interoperability technology, announces the immediate availability
of ODX/UG with support for NX 8.
ODX/UG provides read/write access to native NX part and assembly files without requiring a license of NX CAD
software. With this update, applications using ODX libraries can read NX 8 files and write files up to NX 7. ODX/UG provides
wide range of data access through its API covering 3D geometry, visualization, metadata, PMI, features and much more.
This release reinforces CCE’s commitment to update its ODX technology to keep abreast with latest revisions
of CAD formats, usually within 90-days of general availability. “Besides providing advanced interoperability functionality, our
focus has always been on constantly updating our technology with support for latest CAD versions. That clearly is what sets us
apart from competition. It is no coincidence that some of the largest ISVs in the world are our loyal customers”, says Vinay
Wagle, V.P. Sales & Marketing at CCE.
CCE’s ODX (Open Data eXchange) Libraries are highly portable object-oriented C++
API to help create interoperable applications. They could be used for enhancing the ability of an application to support multiple
CAD formats enabling a wider customer base, or simply to access CAD data and use in any custom engineering application.
Applications developed using ODX are completely independent of any form of CAD software or licensing. The file formats
currently supported include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, UG/NX, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Parasolid, JT, 3D PDF, IGES and STEP.
