CCE is a Michigan Corporation in business since 1989. Our offices are located in Farmington Hills, Michigan and Englewood, New Jersey. CCE currently employs over 225 software and design professionals.

Executive Team
Kumar Rajan, CEO
CAD Translation software, CAD Software Development , CAD Development Toolkits.
Kumar Rajan founded Cimsoftek in 1992 before merging the operations with Compunix, Inc. to form CCE in 2000. Before founding Cimsoftek, Kumar was the Director of Software Development at the US unit of Dassault Systems, one of the leading providers of CAD/CAM/CAE products. He was one of the earliest developers of CATIA, working at the Paris headquarters of Dassault Systems. Kumar helped merge the combined strengths of Cimsoftek and Compunix in CAD data interoperability to develop and market products and technologies used by a number of leading corporations and independent software vendors (ISVs) worldwide. Today, he plays the dual role as CEO and CTO, setting the strategy for software development.
Kumar received his dual Masters degrees in Computer Science and in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY and Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
Vinay Wagle, Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Vinay Wagle founded Compunix in 1989, which was merged with Cimsoftek to create CCE in 2000. Vinay worked at automotive OEM Chrysler prior to founding Compunix. Vinay provides leadership to the CCE sales & marketing team.
Vinay has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mysore, India.

Development Tools
CCE licenses CAD development toolkits to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to enhance CAD access capabilities of their software applications. We provide CAD Libraries (Open Data Exchange - ODX) to read and write native CAD data. Applications developed using ODX are independent of CAD. All our data translator products have these libraries running at its core to help create CAD-independent applications. Our latest innovation, Oceans SDK, is a CAD-independent middleware component technology that allows easy integration of 3D CAD data assets in enterprise applications such as PLM, ERP and MRP etc. that require access to product data that is authored in CAD systems. Apart from licensing our development tools, we also provide integration services to integrate our libraries/SDK into customer applications.
Engineering Design and Automation Services
Leveraging our deep knowledge of CAD tools, CCE also offers engineering services that include Engineering Design and Design Automation services. Our Engineering Design services model maximizes benefits from outsourcing engineering tasks, while mitigating risk. Our Design Automation services deliver higher productivity and quality from automation of repetitive tasks. ConfigLink our design automation tool for highly configurable product families, dramatically reduces time needed to generate custom designs.
Products
Our products include CAD translation software to exchange data between dissimilar CAD/CAM systems, visualization software to view CAD data, and product configurators, which are add-on to CAD systems to dramatically reduce time for creating CAD models & drawings for highly configurable product families.
Our translation solutions provide seamless conversions between Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA V4/V5, NX and SolidWorks systems. Parasolid, JT, IGES and STEP standards-based translators are also available. Our proprietary Adaptive Feature Recognition and Translation technology provides a cost-effective solution to translating features and parametric history information between CAD systems. Our solutions are used by hundreds of corporations worldwide in Automotive, Aerospace and Consumer Appliance industries.
